When Accelerating from a stop there’s a thump thump coming from rear of Car. About 10-15 mph then it quits. What is the problem?

Does it sound at wheel speed? Is it a continuous noise?
Other owners have reported similar noises. The usual suspect is a bad rear differential bushing.
Could be a diff bushing as Dave points out, could be the rear subframe mounting points have rusted away. Could be a bad shock absorber mount. Could be a $200 repair, could be a $1500 repair.
All have been issues with this model BMW. Take it to a mechanic who can both see and hear the noise.
