ON MY WAY TO WORK TODAY, I HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD AND NOW MY NEUTRAL, TURN SIGNAL AND HIGH BEAM INDICATOR LIGHTS AREN’T FUNCTIONING. ALONG WITH THAT, I HAVE COME TO FIND OUT THAT MY REAR TURN SIGNALS AND BRAKE LIGHT ARE ALSO NOT ON. THE BIKE STILL STARTS/RUNS FINE AND THE HEADLIGHT IS ALSO FUNCTIONING NORMALLY. I AM GOING TO TRACE THE WIRING TO MAKE SURE WIRES AREN’T BEING GROUNDED, THE FUSES ARE GOOD AND THAT ALL CONNECTIONS ARE SECURE. JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE HAS COME ACROSS THIS ISSUE BEFORE. HOPEFULLY IT’S AN EASY FIX. THANKS AHEAD OF TIME TO ANYONE WHO CAN HELP WITH THIS MATTER.

Ah? Most of the people on this board work on cars. Not bikes.

Have you tried Bike Talk?

Try the Honda Shadow forum at http://www.hondashadow.net/ They were helpful when I had my 1999 Honda VT750. It’s been a while, but are there fuses you can check? Make sure the fuses have a good connection, after 13 years there is probably corrosion on the contacts.

It’s a well written post, but please turn off the Caps, as it will be easier to respond to.

You may find that the connectors for these lights are all in the headlight shell, look in there for a loose connection.

Most likely this is due to a blown fuse.

Check the wiring under the rear fender that goes to the tail light. If you bottom out sometimes the rear tire can rub through the wiring and do bad things.
