Looking for a car for my 17 y.o. son. First car. This one has 197,000 miles, but is well maintained. Any comments on the mileage? Too high? How do these engines hold up?

make sure the timing belt, tensioners, and water pump have been changed. the water pump “goes at 100k in these things” as we learned the hard way.

If the price is right pay a mechanic to check over.

The 2.2L engines do last dependent on previous owner care. It may be a decent first car for your child.

Private party top price is about $3300. This car is $2200 as a trade in.
