1999 Chrysler Town and Country, overheating

Our 1999 Town and Country has taken up overheating when we are stuck in traffic on hot days. The fluid levels are all where they should be. We just bought it so are not sure when it was last tuned up. An old Toyota we had would overheat when it needed a new rotor and distributor cap. Is it the same for Toyota Town and Country’s or would a radiator flush help?

You really need a check up of the cooling system. With the engine cold check the coolant, take the radiator cap off and look and see if coolant color and everything else is okay. A rough running engine might overheat too, that is when a “tune up” helps, but that is not I would start from unless engine is running rough. Any check engine light?
