My battery on my 1999 ford contour will not charge. At first they stated it was a bad battery, we got that replaced but the car was still not running properly. So then we had the altenator replaced and the car still was not running properly. So we took it to two different auto zones to get the output tested and they stated the battery still was not receiving the right charge. What could possibly be the problem if we have replaced both the altenator and the battery?

Anything, up to and including it is a 1998/1999 Ford Contour.
But on the serious side, there is a fairly large (10Gau. I think) red wire that goes from the alternator to the battery. If this wire has become damaged/cut/removed or just corroded at either end the battery will not charge.
also check this;
There is a 175amp in-line fuse in one of the cables. It is a black, flat fuse that bolts into the cables and doesn’t look like your typical fuse. ie; you can not see if it’s blown , you have to test it.
