My mom’s car suddenly goes dead while she is driving down the road. She is always able to restart it immediately, but finds the sudden stops disconcerting. This has been happening for a year or so I’d say, and she has taken it to various and sundry mechanics, but nothing - - new battery, new spark plugs, tire roatation, work on the fuel line - - has fixed the problem. Any ideas what is wrong?
My 97 3.0 grand caravan did this. It was a CPS(crank position sensor) about 35 bucks, did it myself in about 30 min. Good luck
