My car will turn over, just won’t catch, it has fuel but not fire, it will eventually start, just not immediately
Does the coil have juice?
Worn, dried out spark plug wires can cause starting problems, especially in damp weather. If the spark plugs are old and worn, they could be the problem. Has anyone looked at this? Have any parts of the ignition system been tested or replaced?
Just spotted your earlier post about this car. Someone suggested having the fuel pressure tested, and I agree that is a good idea, especially considering the mileage.
Try this; turn the key to “ON” but not to start, and wait about 5 seconds, then turn the key to START. The idea is to give the fuel pump time to pressurize the system. If the fuel system isn’t holding pressure overnight the car won’t start right away. See if that makes a difference. When was the last time the fuel filter was replaced?
