Last week when I went to start my vehicle after leaving work, it started but would not keep running. The only way I could get it to stay running so that I could leave work, was to have the right foot on the gas and the left foot on the brake-not the safest way to drive a car. It stayed running but when I got on to a freeway entrance ramp it died twice on me but started back up both times and I made it home in 1 piece. The car is currently in the repair shop and of course they cannot duplicate the problem. Neither the service engine light or check engine light soon come on and of course the computer codes are not showing anything. Has anyone else had this problem or an idea as to what it may be -obviously it is some type of mechanical problem. HELP!!!
This is just a shot in the dark, but I would have them check for a clogged fuel filter or bad fuel pump. I guess I would also have them look at the alternator as well.
