I have myself a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire with 150,000 miles on it. Amazing the car has treated me well for awhile. However I have been getting a check engine light with its code being “engine misfire.” I have had all the plugs, wires, and coil packs replaced along with the fuel fiter. It is my hope to keep this car until I leave for Alaska next April. Any suggestions as to what is going on?
Engine missfire code (you dont say what cyl) could be generated by a vacuum leak. What engine? or is there only one choice. If you knew which cyl you could flip parts around and isolate the defective part, assuming you have a defective part
Yes, bring the trouble code(s), here. Troubleshooting for one misfiring cylinder is different than troubleshooting for several misfiring cylinders. You need this information before you try swapping out a fuel injector.
The error code is P0300.
