My dashboard indicator light shows that my airbag circuit is working OK. But I wonder if the bags themselves have dried out due to age and high summer temps and will just tear apart if/when they are inflated.Has anyone ever tested them for this.
Yes, they tested for that but it is an accelerated test since car makers can’t take 23 years waiting for the test to end.
If you are concerned, see if it is even possible to obtain replacement parts. By the way, don’t you worry about your 23 year old seatbelts, too?
