It’s a shame your not driving an 87. Bought mine new in January 88 & the one and only thing I’ve ever done to the front end is to replace the rubber (what was Ford thinking) tie rod ends due to a nasty shimmy.

At about 120 K miles i had a leaking rear shock so replaced them both. The front shocks are still the original factory
Now have 247,000 miles on the truck

I guess they really don’t make them like they used to.

Ford still uses twin i-beam on their super duty trucks
