My car will lose power and then stall. It is a 2.3L Quad 4 engine with 70k miles. I have replaced the ignition coil 5x and the catylitic converter 3X. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this and what is a good fix? Perhaps excess heat is killing the coil??
What makes you believe your coil is dead ?
That is what the shop said. They think the coil is overheating, failing, then the misfiring is dumping gas into the exhaust and killing the cat. Does that make any sense to you?
