1995 Ford Ranger Takes Off Slow

I have a 95 Ford Ranger 4.0 L 6cylinder manual transmission

Transmission fluid was changed about a month ago, and new spark plugs, wires a couple weeks ago

The truck was running decent till yesterday and now when you take off the truck will rev loud and then barely move but eventually gets enough speed to get to second and third where it gets a little better. But it barely moves in 1st and 2nd gears. What could this be?

Not sure. Worn clutch?

Transman, need pro advice here.

I do notice if I try to press the gas in order to get it going the RPMs ramp up and the engine revs and eventually it’ll get going. When I do this, I smell a “burnt clutch” kind of smell afterward.

Is this another indication of a clutch going bad?
