My 1995 bmw 525I,has 165,000 miles, The tapets are loud, i am told they reslult of a computer and can not be adjusted. Is their anything that can be done?
Some more info would help. How sure are you the noise is related to the valve train?
Is the noise present all of the time and even when the engine is idling?
Is it present only when the engine is warm and under a load; accelerating, uphills, etc.?
Look at the underhood sticker and the owners manual and see if there is a reference to valve lash adjustment.
