When cold, car starts right up/drives fine. After about 45min, if I turn off have trouble starting. Will try to turn over, but have to pump gas pedal. Hotter the engine is, more I have to pump. Then if I break for a light, idle speed changes and car wants to lurch forward. Soon as I park it overnight, starts right up.
The problem might be vapor lock.
Carry a bottle of water in the vehicle.
The next time the engine is difficult to start when hot, open the hood and pour the bottle of water over the fuel rails and then try starting the engine.
If the engine starts, that’s vapor lock.
