this van has been park for at least a year,i brought a fuel pump, driving it and it went out, the van start s but struggle to stay on?

The dirty fuel filter could be starving the engine for fuel. Change it and let us know what happens.
At a years time the condition of the gasoline would also be suspect if it had not be stabilized before storing. If the tank was on the low side, that could have contributed to the problem and you may have some water in that tank.
