my '92 tercel will start without a problem but it seems that after it warms up it will stall sometimes when you come to a stop then won’t restart without sitting for about 5 minutes. the check engine light will come on then go off and will do this going slow or fast. i’ve used lucas oil injector cleaner thinking it might have something to do with the injectors. anyone have a thought or experience with similar problem?
That CEL (check engine light) is just a kid in class waving her hand trying to get you attention because she has the answer. You need to have the codes read. Some places will read them for FREE. Try Autozone or Advanced Auto Parts. Get the exact code not just their translation into English and post it back here. It likely will have a format like P1234.thank you for that info. autozone told me they couldn’t check anything older than a '96 but i’ll try the other places and post the results
