1991 s10 4x4 transmission wont shift out of 1st have reverse. started shiftin early went to store shut off started up and would not shift out of 1st rapped it up to 4000rpms still no shift also seems to have a vibration and sounds like a bad bearing does it in park
If transman doesn’t jump in to say otherwise you might be wise to get it towed to a transmission specialist. The vibrations and bad bearing noise sound ominous. Good luck.
sounds to me like one of your gears is cracked due to a bad gear shaft bearing and so the gears wont line up for shifing. Get it towed to a transmission shop for sure, but try to avoid going to a chain store type operation, go to an independent if you can.
