On my Volvo, Transmission doesn not shift to higher gear for first mile or so even if engine is pre-warmed by letting run for few minutes. When I drive in lower gear for a mile or so, all works fine. Issue transmission not shifting to higher gear when transmission oil is cold. No issues after transmission is warmed up, it shifts normal. In short, my Volvo runs fine after initial transmission warm up. Any help?
You need a transmission shop and the cost may exceed the value of this old Volvo .
