No problem. I’ve bought and sold plenty of older cars in my life. When they get this old, you run into a lot of characters selling them. Many of them are unrealistic regarding the worth of their prized possession. I also ran into a lot of strange situations. But some of my best purchases would have never happened if I high tailed it at the first sign of something I considered unusual. Yes, there are lots of cars for sale. But I’m looking for a gem at a low price and those are much harder to find. There were a few non-negotiable conditions like clear title, owner attends actual transfer of money and title etc. But my first interactions with intermediaries was common- I’m just showing the car for so-and-so…
