I have a 1977 Datsun B210. It’s got 62000 miles and one previous owner!
I like to drive it to work, but the other night on my way home the headlights went out (parking lights stayed on). I stopped the car, and pulled the plunger switch a few times and the lights came back on.
Yesterday this happened to me again, but I had more difficulty getting them to come back on. The switch will pull to its first position and the parking lights come on. Then I pull it to its second position, and the parking lights come back on.
I don’t know if it is a switch issue, or electrical, and I certainly don’t know how to fix it.

Then you will need to call a few shops and tell them this story . If they can’t find a new switch ( If that is the problem ) they might have a work around.
Check with relatives , friends and co-workers for a shop recommendation.
