My buddy’s 2008 Hyndai Sante Fe is doing the exact same thing. I gave him a heads up and his mechanic is checking things. If it is this same defect (or not), I will post back the results.
well the short answer over the years is either the EVAP purge valve, the recall, or a fuel pump issue. Any dealer that says they haven’t ever heard of that has not been around too long.
Checked my receipt. It was the purge valve that was replaced.
