Does anyone know how to tell when a CVT is going bad, other than oil leaks? A CVT is very expensive to repair/replace, so having some signs that you need to get it to a shop would be welcome.
The old tests -- slipping while driving -- wouldn't apply since the CVT lets the engine rev to its (supposedly) most efficient RPM, and it sounds like it is slipping all the time.
