i received a mail recently from my mechanic about my Toyota Camry 2000 like this,

Task: Inspect exhaust system for leaks, damage, and loose parts
Observations: Found exhaust leak

Replace intermediate pipe
Fail $566.13

appreciate all advises as to how i should approach this. My car is also making lot of noice from the muffler.
