My car is a 2004 Hyundai Sonata which has 260,000 miles on it. We have kept it regularly maintained and it has never given me any problems. However, a few days ago it began to smell hot inside and outside when driving. My husband checked the battery, oil,and coolant and everything appeared normal. The next day I went to crank it and it made a loud knocking sound, battery light came on but car never started. Any ideas on what might be going on? I love this car and would like to keep it. Thanks!
