I have a 1997 Toyota Tercel. My mechanic just showed me that the springs in the front of the car are cracked. He said Toyota no longer makes them for this vehicle and they're not available at any of his sources. So I have to locate them on my own, via internet. The mechanic said to buy struts, springs and the "top assembly" because with all the rust, the struts may get damaged trying to replace just the springs.
So I found a set of new struts on ebay, but what do I search for when looking for the springs and top assembly? Can anyone tell me what they're called?
