I need your help again, Community. Two years ago my 2008 Honda Accord started burning oil like crazy. I've discovered on the internet that this is a big problem for this car. After doing the oil consumption test that my dealer needed, I got them to fix the problem with new pistons and rings (I paid $200). Now the number of miles I get per 4 qt. tank goes down every month, until it's now about 1,000 miles per tank! I put two quarts in every time the oil light comes on, which is now every two weeks. What should I do? Ask the service manager to fix the pistons and rings again? Ask the dealer to buy it back from me, or accept it as trade-in on a new car? Could I force them to give me Blue Book value for it, since the problem not only makes it eventually undriveable (and therefore unsellable) but also was not caused by me? I've done everything the dealership has asked and always take it there for all my service. It now has over 100K miles and my extended warranty will run out soon.
