My Lincoln MKT (2013) will not stay on A/C. The temperature rises and the heat comes on. When I put it on Dual, the passenger side stays on A/c. What is causing this?

over 3-4 weeks the Battery drain down, I think car is supposed to have an electronic disconnect to pre vent this?
