Dermatology news is that there are more and more cancers on the left side of the face which they’re linking to drivers side windows. In NYS only 70% or less clear is allowed. I’m hearing different things from different people. Are the windows already tinted 30% when it’s manufactured? Looks to me like only the windshield is tinted. Does any or all tint or only ceramic protect against UV? Is it illegal in NYS to tint the drivers side window even to 70% clear? Does anyone in NYS do “clear” tinting just for the UV blocking?

Medical exemptions exist, a cermic tint would help. 3m had a chart showing the differences between levels of tint for their ceramic.

First of all, what is the source for this skin cancer information? I’m skeptical until a major medical research center has done the research or at least published agreement for the findings.
