Whom changed the oil before you saw the orginal light? Had yopu checked the oil level betwen change and light? Accidents do happen.
Actually, no - I has always had 10W30 in it- but it is 10 years old and maybe age has something to do with it - as to the question about who changed oil before - independent shop who has been working on car for 3 years since I moved here. They are trustworthy, AAA recommended, Angie’s List recommended, BBB recommended and they have taken good care of me. And as to checking oil level - yes, about every other week - I just do not drive this vehicle very much, never did - always within 2 mile of work and now work from home.It only has 70,000 miles on it. It got its oil changes at 2000 miles due to the amount of time it took me to get there - always every 3 of 4 months, regardless. It has been a good vehicle and I plan on keeping it for a looooooong time.
