I’d be worried if my 1951 Ford F100 with a 239 flathead V-8 made that noise. Why don’t people tell us what they are working on? Make - Ford Model? Year? Engine? ---

I don’t hear whining but I do hear a fast cadence clicking. You might need the tappet clearance gap checked and reset.
