I don’t think that would work. Presumably the reason you got stopped is b/c the police thought your headlights too bright while you were driving.
I thought we were talking about an emergency safety kit?
Yes, that’s the topic. The stickers are required to be part of the kit apparently. And the question asked above: What are the stickers used for? I guessed they are used to cover parts of the headlights, but they might be used some other way. Like to place on the rear view mirrors, etc.
Maybe my recollection is off, but I think I was required to have the triangles for truck plates in my f100 in the 70’s
…“1 in chamber…”
REALLY ?!?!
Yes. Safety on.
Always treat a weapon as though a round is chambered, anyway.
If a sudden unexpected attack, which willikely never happen, maybe not enough time to fumble the weapon in h.and chamber a round.
Or if you do not wanthe criminal to hear your chambering a round. Have tried to do it quietly. Failed
(Rather have a 16-shooter than a 15-shooter.)
Kepthe Colt .45 six-shooter with empty lined in the barrel. Forget how to say that.
A gun not ready to fire is used for target practice not self defense…
Modern firearms, when in good condition are no more dangerous with a loaded chamber securely holstered than they are stored in a safe with a round in the chamber , assuming of course the wearer isn’t doing something unsafe themselves.
Carrying with one in the chamber allows you to move more quickly in a defensive encounter while carrying without one chambered reduces the risk of a negligent discharge . Most people choose to conceal carry with a round in the chamber, as speed is often a priority when it comes to drawing from a holster
You should always carry with a round chambered. Glocks, Sig Sauer, Smith and Wesson, Barretta, and many other makes are safe to carry chambered, They have 3 safeties (trigger, firing pin, and drop safeties). If you follow the four rules they are safe to carry with a round chambered.
You must always follow the 4 rules of gun safety.
- Treat all guns as if they are loaded.
- Never point a gun at any thing you do not want to destroy.
- Make sure of your target and what is behind and around your target.
- Keep your finger off of the trigger until ready to fire.
However, if you are NOT properly trained and have a well-designed holster, then you should not carry a gun… Obviously you don’t have one lying on the coffee table with kids around etc, but again, you need proper training…
I always have all 6 rounds in my .357 revolver, and it doesn’t even have a safety. A fire arm is only as safe as the person holding it.
