torn. 2001 vw jetta glx vr6. replaced with clean used engine with new guides and tensioners. ( the original blew up at 65k due to worn guides). at 75kthe auto transmission is in limp mode 3gear and reverse. 6th module/electrical. (needs replace or repair. heater core is possibly clogged. poor heat flush or possible replacement . in addiion the poor quality foam from the blend doors has totally deteriated , comprising proper air flow. i love the ca , it’s uniqueness, i wonder why? because their isn’t any on the road! i love abuse and this car. the car has me emotionally hostage . i don"t have a lot of cash. a aamco repair owner claims he could take my trany about and fix what needs to addressed and flush/ replace my eater core for approximately $2,500. I hate junking it for nothing. it has be a family member for 16 yrs. please talk sense to sense. thanks jimmy

17 year old car needing a LOT of expensive work. It isn’t your mother or sister, it is just a car.

You know what you need to do.
