# What is the best gear for drifting?

Automatic gearbox or manual gearbox is the best in drifting and burnout, especially in BMW M3 cars?  
And what is the ideal car to drift a BMW M3 F80 2018 or BMW M3 CS 2018?

Manual transmission is best

Either BMW with a GM LS swap makes the best drift car.

The BMW is a DCT as you can see the gear readout on the instrument cluster. That particular Mercedes doesn’t come in a manual.
