Well, I still don’t know why it is there but I would like to stuff it with insulation of some kind. If I could take it off. ---

@EllyEllis-You have a very expensive new vehicle. Don’t stuff anything under the engine cover and void the warranty. Find something else to waste your worry time over. ---
