Actually, CSA, it’s the perfect device for its application. Other forms of motive force have been tried, but as yet none seems to fit the overall scenerio as well. Even I, a supporter of Tesla, have to admit that currently the gas engine is as good as has been found. ---

“Just keep tweaking ?” Being in first place is no excuse to stop running. I think with improving materials and design the automotive ICE can reach 50% efficiency, even with spark ignition. [This](http://www.thesatya.com/12cyl/) diesel exceeds 50%. ---
