I have a 2005 Toyota Camry. When I apply the brakes the steering wheel vibrates. Any idea what I should have checked first? I have no idea where to begin and as each visit to my mechanic makes me poor & him able to pay his bills…can you help?

Most likely the vibration is from warped brake rotors. When this begins to happen, it’s a sign that the brake rotors/pads require replacement.
