Does anyone here have any experience installing aftermarket variable orifice valves in place of fixed orifice tubes? They are supposed to increase efficiency of AC systems (cooler air and lower fuel consumption) and reduce compressor wear under certain conditions

Remove the refrigerant line to gain access to the orifice tube, and swap it out.

Oops, sorry. I understand the installation. I was wondering if anyone knows if they help very much.

I installed three of these VVOT’s in three GM vehicles. I saw no appreciable improvement in performance of the AC system.
