Have a '86 vanagon camper. I parked it next to my garage about 2 years ago and now it won’t start. I put 10 gallons of gas in it, it didn’t leak out. the gas gauge doesn’t register either. It runs when I shoot ether into it but appearantly gets no gas. Looks like all the fuses are good. could be the fuel pump but the non-working gas gauge seems to be related.

The gas could have turned into varnish by now.

You’ll have to clean the fuel system.

(including the carb and change the fuel filter)

I think dumping fresh fuel in with fuel that old may have been wasteful $$.
