Vacuum leak in 2002 Toyota Corolla

I don’t have any new ideas; just the same old one about connecting a vacuum gauge to determine without a shred of doubt if the engine has a vacuum leak or not.

Why spend 10 or 15 minutes poking and spraying to test for a leak when about 20 seconds with a vacuum gauge will answer the question.
Vacuum leaks can cause multiple misfires and affect the MAF also.

Jon, I don’t have anything to add, but I’m interested to know what became of your last venture with this problem. I have a 2000 Corolla in our shop right now that seems to have the exact same problem. Just wondered if you found out anything new. I’m at my wits end with this vehicle.
Hope yours is running like a champ,
Howie
