Brand new issue in my 2016 sierra Z71.

After I am stopped at a red light, the tachometer will rev up to near red with the slightest tap of the accelerator with no movement. Shifting into neutral will have the RPM behaving and sounding normal. I will not have any forward gears or reverse. Turning the truck of, and restarting will have the truck back to normal for a time (as long as I don’t stop at any red lights).

If it has the 8 speed tranny I’m not surprised.

> 2016 Sierra, 103k mi, no error codes or lights. Without warning the clutch seems to completely disengage. I will loose every gear but Neutral. Taking the key out and starting it again fixes it for a time. Problems usually start after I come to a complete stop in Drive (like at a red light). Can someone tell me its a cheap fix computer problem please. I know its not the truth but it might make me feel better anyway. Thanks

Sounds like throttle issue. Maybe.
