# Transaxle Issues in a 2000 Sable

While I was driving today, when I tried to accelerate, the RPM meter got up to 7, and the car started jerking. Once I got up to the speed and stopped accelerating, the jerking stopped and the car ran fine. After a few minutes of this, the Transaxle light started blinking, and I noticed a very strong odor. Any idea that the problem might be?

I’m sorry to say but, the vehicle’s going to require a replacement transmission.

Any idea how much that might cost?
