2009 Corolla LE With Techstream I am getting the error below: Unable to connect to the VIM I also borrowed a friend’s and the same happened. I took it to a shop to program the new key - he didn’t use Techstream. Used something like xhaust and another device and programmed the after market new key. Two different Techstream install on a Windows pc gave the same error - On mine, I played with the setup but no luck. Thoughts? ---

You’re trying to work with what are basically hacked versions of Techstream. The “well” of knowledge here is likely somewhat shallow. You’d be better off checking out a dedicated Prius board (or other Toyota board). Maybe check out [PriusChat](https://priuschat.com/forum/) ---
