THE MOLDING AT THE REAR OF THE TOP HAS BROKEN “CLASPS”. THE DEALER SAID IT WILL COST $1000 TO REPLACE THE MOLDING AND HOLDING CLIPS. ONLY THE CLIPS HOLDING THE MOLDING ARE BROKEN. aNY IDEAS IF ONLY THEY CAN BE REPLACE AND NOT THE MOLDING WHICH IS PERFECT SHAPE.

If there is a shop in your area that does auto upholstery and convertible top repair/replacement I’d take the car to them and see what they can do. They may have a less expensive solution.

I DID THAT. THEIR PRICE WAS ALSO AROUND $1K AND INCLUDED REPLACING THE MOLDING.
