I think OP meant to say dealer was lowering price $2k so final cost might be $4k or so.
Thank you all .Initially TOYOYA said they will cover some cost. Just now I got call from them saying they will cover for parts, engine and I have to take care of Labor charges. I am not sure how much dealer will charge me for Labor to fix waterpump,heads,shortblock, gas kits. I am going to call dealer and check this.
Get them to start that engine for you first. They may just do the waterpump and claim they did the rest. If you do this, ask to see all the parts.
They will have the old core sitting on a skid when done. That’s pretty good proof of work
