# Toyota Camry Strange Noise at Cold Start

You can use a piece of heater hose to try and isolate the source,my first guess is the belt tensioner.

I had a similar noise in my Corolla and It ended up been a loose power steering pulley… a very common problem in Camry and [Corolla.To](http://Corolla.To) test: Turn the steering wheel in both direction,the noise will disappear at some point and that will confirm a loose pulley.Tighten the bolt in the center of the pulley
