# Toyota 2001 Oil Mess?

Somehow my engine oil cap was gone and the car was driven for almost 300 miles. The car was with one of my friends and when I got it back I show oil on floor and under the hood it was all mess, oil everywhere and there was little oil left in the engine. I immediately filled the oil but now how can I get rid of the oil which filled in the cavities under the hood and underside of the hood. Car is running fine. Do I need to look for anything and how do I clean the mess without damaging the engine.

I’d take it to a detailing shop. See what they say. They’ll cover all the necessary stuff and probably steam the engine compartment.
