"To Keep Or Not To Keep"

Paid off along time ago. U have been saving money for a replacement in the last 10 yrs? I hope it’s in better shape w90k miles vs an avg mile rig with 200k+ miles. I say new rig time.

Except for 3 years split between winters spent in K.C. Kansas and Delaware
county,PA.,the van has resided in “snowless/road saltless” climates so
there are no rust issues and hopefully no brake caliper and wheel bearing
concerns possibly related to road salt contact. As for the timing belt and
water pump, both were replaced at ~89K so they should be good for a while to
come.

As George SanJose mentioned about the amount of “automatic gadgetry” on
newer vehicles, that is a concern to some degree(the sporadic
headlight/dashboard light flicker already mentioned) as well as major drive
train and engine component items that could develop as the age/mileage
increases. In all likelihood the annual mileage for some time to come will
be no more than 9k.Some repairs/maintenance such as brake pad
replacement, coolant fluid drain and replace and oil/filter changes I can do
myself but chasing down electrical problems is a different ball game.

The van is in very good condition as far as physical appearance goes so I
need to decide if it justifies me keeping it knowing it might start having
more mechanical issues

With all due respect, you’re looking at the wrong way

It’s not that the van spent the majority of its life in saltless climates

it’s that it DID spend 3 winters in areas with road salt

Bad stuff could have happened during that time, stuff with lasting consequences

I suggest you find a good mechanic to thoroughly inspect the van, including looking for severe rust problems
