Tired of FWD vehicles and the ridiculous negative rear camber

Not quite, to the best of my knowledge, sprint cars still use solid rear axels. Turn right to go left !!!

Because fronts are steer tires, and are subject to more changes in direction and angle than are non-steer tires.

Solid axles can be made to work just fine with the correct shocks. Trans Am cars still use them. My SCCA class, American Sedan mostly still uses solid axles.

My track Mustang (soon to be retired, I just bought a 2021 Mustang Mach 1) has a solid axle and I track at Sebring… the roughest track in the US and it never steps out of line on the infamous bumps.

Didn’t Nascar use solid rear axles up until a few years ago with great success??

My problem is a solid rear axle tends to be robust. My 89 Caprice does not have negative camber saggy rear wheels even though i load up water softener salt in trunk and it rides low. It still had beautiful non saggy rear wheels

This should drive ya nuts then-

Now that made me laugh. Thanks

That because it already has saggy shocks. I rented one once. Oof. Made me seasick and I was driving it. Heave ho.

Quit it! I’m trying to eat my lunch!

A friend of mine has a younger sister who would throw-up every time that she rode in the father’s '65 Impala. He traded it in on a '67 Dodge and she never got car-sick again.

It was the Chevy’s so-called Jet-Smooth Ride that made her nauseous.

I saw a picture of a similar car where you could see the upright wheels that did all the work behind the cartoon wheels.

No laughing, very popular form of racing.

I have seen cars modified like that. Can not image how they drive.

I have no idea why you thought the Sprint Car racing photo was funny . Many famous race drivers got their start in that racing series.

Sprint cars can weigh in at about 1400 pounds with driver and can run a 410ci small block turning about 9,000 rpms on methanol and making 900HP and 700ft-lbs of torque… They are freaking bad a$$ and have one of the highest power to weight ratios out there for racer cars…
The engine below is somewhere north of $60,000, the smaller ci 360 (budget engines) are running $45-$55,000…

I see cars like that all the time when driving through Lawrence or Lowell MA. Absolutely ridiculous.

I laughed not to be pejorative but in amusement. It’s an acknowledgement that of course it wouldn’t have independent suspension. It wouldn’t need it. Nor be desirable.

That there is a sheer case of doing it for looks.

Handling? I’d bet that thing handles about as well as a g—d–mn TOILET SEAT.

Someone has definite feelings of inadequacy that they are compensating for…

I am not talking about modified or extremely worn vehicles. If you look at a vehicle going down the road with any weight in the back you will see saggy, negative rear camber wheels. UNLESS its a good old solid rear axle

With all due respect, I’m not sure I agree with that

No offense, but maybe it’s time for a new prescription

This is from Harlem Nights, which I really enjoyed
