Why is coolant leaking between timing chain cover and engin block?

Loose bolts or bad gasket is my best guess with no info. Cracked timing chain cover is another guess.

What year, make, model, engine option? All cars and trucks are different, and they all have their own particular quirks. If we know what engine we’re asked about, maybe someone knows of a specific thing to look for.

Telling everyone what kind of vehicle and engine you’re talking about would help.
Not by chance a small block Ford is it?

Some cars have a freeze plug in this area, it could be rusted and leaking. Make , model ,year please.
